WOW! What a story! But not unheard of here in Japan. Okay, the FIRST thing you need to do, is contact the Department of Labour, or even better, contact the General Union and tell them what's happened. They are superb at fighting unscrupulous employers such as this Kojima bitch. Secondly, she had NO RIGHTS to turf you out on the streets with such short notice. The legal minimum of time here in Japan, for vacating a premises, is actually 2 months (NOT 1 as some seem to think), and even then, she cannot turf you out if you have nowhere else to go. It's illegal to make someone homeless here if you've promised them a place to live. Thirdly, contact your local embassy and secure some kind of visa to stay here, even if only a holiday visa. Then contact immigration and inform them that Kojima is hiring foreigners and expecting them to work illegally. She'll be closed within hours! The General Union (you can find them on the net, but I think they're based in Osaka, try a google search), WILL help you. Don't allow this to slide. This woman is already advertising on the internet again, and you could save someone a lot of stress and trouble by having the legal authorities sort her out.
