To express your intetion or plan in Japanese, you will need to learn two special Japanese words. The first Japanese word is yotei which literally means plan. To use yotei, you will need to place this Japanese word right after a Japanese verb in dictionary form or negative form. Let's start with the dictionary form. Kyou wa gakkou he iku yotei desu I plan to go to school today. Konya wa tomodachi no ie he tomaru yotei desu. I plan to stay at my friend's house today. As you can see, by placing yotei right after the Japanese verb in plain form, you've already change the meaning to planning to. Now's let's look at some negative form examples. Kare to awanai yotei desu. I plan not to meet him. Kane wo harawanai yotei desu. I plan not to pay. Just conjugate the plain Japanese verb into negative form first then place a yotei after it, simply right? Now let's take a look at the second word tsumori which means intetion. Using tsumori is just the same as using yotei, you just need to place ir right after the Japanese verb in plain or negative form. Omae to iku tsumori da. I have the intention of going with you. Kare to tomachi ni naru tsumori desu. I have the intention of becoming friends with him. Ashita wa, gakkou he ikanai tsumori desu. I don't have the intention of going to school tomorrow.
